Shaykh `Ubayd al-Jaabiree (may Allaah preserve him):
Perverting the Words of Allaah and His Messenger (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace) from their apparent, obvious meanings is a blameworthy characteristic, a horrible path taken, and a crime against the words of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic.
